Frequently asked questions

What technology do you build your sites on?

I build websites in Webflow. After working across a range of platforms, I’ve found Webflow sits in the sweet spot between design and development. It’s powerful and flexible, while still being intuitive to use and easy to collaborate on once the site is live.

Do you do branding and general design, or only websites?

Websites are my primary focus. Thoughtfully designed, well-built websites work best when they’re grounded in a clear strategy and a strong understanding of the why behind each decision.

I do occasionally take on light branding or general design work where it aligns with the website and the overall direction. If it feels like a good fit, we can explore that together.

How long is the process?

It depends on the scope and how prepared things are at the start. If content is ready and decisions move quickly, a website can come together in as little as two weeks. Larger or more considered projects usually take closer to six to eight weeks.

Clear milestones are set at the start so progress is easy to track throughout. Read more about the process here.

What do you need from me to get started?

To get started, I’ll need a bit of context around your business, goals, and any existing content or assets you have. You don’t need everything finalised upfront as we’ll work through what’s needed together as part of the process.

What happens after the website launches?

After launch, I’ll walk you through how to use and manage your website so you feel confident making updates yourself. You’ll receive everything you need to take ownership of the site, and I’m available for ongoing support if you’d like help with updates or improvements over time.

Will I be able to update the website myself?

Yes. After launch, I’ll run you through how to update and manage your website so you feel comfortable making changes yourself. You’ll be able to edit content, update pages, and add new ones as your business grows.

If you’d prefer ongoing help, support is also available on a retainer basis.

How much is this going to cost me?

Ah, the elephant in the room. Project investment starts from $2,500 and is shaped by the scope of the work. For example, a simple multi-page site will differ significantly from a larger build with more pages or third-party integrations.

That’s why the discovery stage is an important part of the process. It allows us to clearly understand your goals and needs, so pricing is considered, appropriate, and set up to support your site as it grows.

Do you offer payment plans?

Definitely! A 50% deposit is required to secure your place in the schedule, but the remaining balance can be split into two payments as the project progresses, with full payment due before the website is handed over.

Still have questions?

If you’re still wondering about something, just get in touch. I’m always happy to answer questions or talk things through.
